Boris Yeltsin lost a thumb and index finger on his left hand while playing with a hand grenade as a child.

(Luckily my mum was only worried about me playing with matches.)

    Yeltsin wanted to see how grenades worked so when he stole 2 grenades from the military camp in Sverdlovsk and starting disecting them . Two of his fingers got mangeled and gangrene set in so doctors had to cut off his two fingers

    Hmmmm... I do hope he never gets too interested in how a nuclear bomb works.
