According to the European Commission, British tourists visiting Disneyland in Paris are charged hundreds of pounds more than the French. (French authorities have been ordered to look into Disneyland's pricing policy for visitors from abroad, on the findings that British customers could be paying up to 15% more for one-day tickets, €1,870 (£1,327) compared with €1,346 (£955) for French ticketholders and Germans are even harder hit, paying €2,447 (£1,736). Well, if you hadn't already heard, Andy Murray won Wimbledon yesterday (7th July 2013).  (If you have been following the British media, you might have the impression that he's the first Brit to win in 77 years, since Fred Perry's 1936 win at the All England Club, and the first Scot to win since Harold Mahony in 1896. Or is he? Actually he's the first British man to win Wimbledon since 1936. There have been quite a few British ladies that have been Wimbledon champions: Dorothy Round Little won in 1937, Angela Mortimer Barrett won in 1961 and Ann Haydon Jones won in 1969, and of course, British player Virginia Wade won Wimbledon in 1977. Well done ladies.  Your success has not been forgotten, and you will always be British winners.)

Ageing rockers The Rolling Stones have announced their first live shows in five years - but the tickets will set you back at least £106. (The best seats cost around £406, and fans who want to stand in the "tongue pit" near the front of the stage will have to purchase a VIP hospitality package costing £1,140. £106 - is more than the band themselves were paid when they performed their first gig 50 years ago.  I guess this isn't so much a "must see before I die" as a "'must see them before they die",)

If someone takes a new born baby to some areas of the 2012 Olympics, they will need to have a ticket - for the baby. (After a lot of confusion about the status of babes in arms, Locog have now confirmed that babies aged 12 months or under, will be allowed into almost all London 2012 venues without a ticket but they have to be strapped securely to a parent or carer in a baby carrier, sling or similar item. The only exceptions are Wembley Stadium, St James' Park, Old Trafford and North Greenwich Arena, where existing licensing agreements mean all spectators need a ticket, regardless of their age.Organisers Locog have said that every baby for these venues will need a ticket, even if they do not need a seat.)
