I'll be honest, when I first heard of the poo bus, I thought of this guy:- However, this is actually about a bus that runs on gas generated through the treatment of sewage (real poo), and food waste that is unfit for human consumption. London buses are no longer accepting cash payments for journeys*. For now cash is still king, but with virtual wallets, and mobile payment systems, the march of a cashless society seems to be unstoppable. In 2012, over 246,241 items were handed to lost property offices in London after being found on trains and buses. (Shopping trolleys, umbrellas, medicine, and even the ashes of a loved one are all on the list of things that got left behind. Happily 52,000 people were eventually reunited with their property.)

According to Trip Advisor's TripIndex, London is the world's most expensive city for a night out. (It costs an average of £330.45, which includes the combined costs for two people of one night in a four-star hotel, with cocktails, a two-course dinner with a bottle of wine and taxi fare home. Hah! What's wrong with a fish supper and the bus?)
