Interesting Fact - Habits

According to a study carried out by Clipper Teas, Brits are twice as likely to dump their partner, than change their brand of tea. (The top 10 things we are least likely to change are:- Our hairstyle. Our hair colour. What we eat for breakfast. Our favourite mug Our bedtime. Our favourite food brands. Our favourite takeaway restaurant. When we do our shopping. Our favourite brand of tea. The time of day we drink tea. I'd agree with 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, and 10. For the rest, I'm pretty flexible. It looks as if in the UK we like our habits and routine, but aren't that keen on our other halves.)

Interesting Fact - Sleep

According to a report called The Great British Bedtime Report, people in the UK aren't getting enough sleep. (Yes, the report commissioned by the Sleep Council to mark National Bed Month, a third of the population of the UK (33%) now get by on 5 to 6 hours’ sleep a night, compared to 27% in 2010, and the majority of people (70%) sleep for 7 hours or less, with the average Briton going to bed at 11:15 pm and getting 6 hours and 35 minutes sleep per night. Research suggests 7 and a half hours is the optimum level for good health. Almost half of Britons say that stress or worry keeps them awake at night, but unsurprisingly high earners (£65-£75,000) get the best sleep of all. Now, I'm not particularly stressed or worried, but I am posting this at 5:30 in the morning.)

Interesting Fact - Bedtime

According to research, from SRI International, youngsters who go to bed early, at the same time every night, turn out more intelligent. (In the study, children who had regular bedtimes were better at languages, reading and maths than those who did not, and the earlier a child went to bed the quicker they are at picking things up. Maybe parents should punish their children by making them stay up late, rather than sending them to bed early.) Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk

Interesting Fact - Bedtime

According to a survey by the Sleep Council, the average midweek bedtime in the UK is between 10pm and 11pm. (For once I actually fit the "norm". If I'm not in bed by 11pm I turn into a pumpkin.)
