Researchers at the University of Auckland, have found out that our personalities develop until well into our fifities. (They discovered that your personality becomes most stable during middle age - but then begins to decline again. People tend to be most neurotic in their thirties, and honest and conscientious in their forties. Our personalities keep developing until we are in our fifties, for example, people in their 30s, showed high levels of neuroticism, but by the time they reached their 50s that had been replaced by conscientiousness, openness and honesty-humility. So there is hope for the seflie generation yet.)

30th April 2014 is National Honesty Day in the US. Allegedly, a man called M. Hirst Goldberg (who interestingly wrote a book about lies), established April 30th as National Honesty Day in an attempt to balance out the beginning of the month, which begins with April’s Fool Day. I think this should go global!  Like a great big game of truth or dare.  :)

According to a major study carried out by the University of Essex, the British, as a people, are becoming less honest. (As a nation we are becoming increasingly relaxed about "low-level dishonesty. The study found that in the year 2000, 70% of people believed an extramarital affair could never be justified; today, the proportion is about 50%. The number of people who say keeping money found in the street is never justified fell from 40% to 20%. Lying and breaking the speed limit have also become an accepted part of life, but fabricating a job application  is less acceptable, however many people do not rule it out.  Always check those references. ) Source
