According to a survey by   YouGov, n early two-thirds of British voters (62 per cent) believe politicians lie "all the time. You can be imprisoned for not voting in Fiji, Chile and Egypt. (At least in theory.)

Only 61.3 percent of people eligible to vote actually voted in the 2005 UK general election. (The rest were washing their hair.)
