Interesting People - Mark Twain

Mark Twain's book Tom Sawyer (1876) was the first novel ever to be written on a typewriter.

(Depressingly one day kids are going to ask "What's a typewriter?")

    his real name was Samuel Clemens.

  5. As sure as anyone can be. It's difficult to test these things, but allegedly he used a Remington in 1875.
