Today

Is World AIDS Day.

By the end of 2007, in the UK, an estimated 77,400 people were living with HIV. In 2007, there were at least 7,734 new diagnoses of HIV, contributing to a cumulative total of 97,423 reported by the end of June 2008.

It is estimated that a quarter of people in the UK are unaware that they carry the infection, but it is very easy to find help and advice. If you are worried that you may be at risk you can easily organise a test: http://www.fpa.org.uk/finder/ will help you find a centre near you.

Ignorance is not bliss.
