Kenneth Grange, the designer of the Inter City 125, also designed the Kenwood Chef mixer, the parking meter and redesigned the angle-poise lamp.

(Up until the parking meter I was all for him.)

    George Carwardine actually designed the Anglepoise Lamp in 1932. Kenneth recently has done newer versions over the last couple of years that still use the originalspring mechanism.

    What he has done for Anglepoise is created a new range of products (the Type range) which have re-invented Angelpoise for todays market. Making the lamps not only products which excel as far as function is concerned, but also making them wonders of aesthetics.

    Although he has a major involvement, the companies owners are largely responsible for what ends up on the shelves.
